A Holistic Approach
One of the things I value most as a guide is intellectual humility. I’m a curious, lifelong learner who likes to extract the benefits from various styles of treatment. My diverse background gives me the ability to utilize a variety of approaches depending on what you need in the moment. That being said, I believe it helps to have a few core areas of expertise to prevent spreading oneself too thin. I’ve received extensive training in the following treatment orientations:
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Exposure and Response Prevention (EXRP)
Somatic Therapy
Dance/Movement Therapy (DMT)
Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Social Skills Training
I provide both practical tools as well as deeper, more experiential work. I honor both reason and intuition, for I believe the combination of these two elements is what creates wisdom in its purest form.
Trust
Trust occurs both in the therapeutic alliance between client and therapist, as well as between individuals and the collective humanity at large. After all, most things of lasting value arise out of your devotion to express your own personal values along with the universal human virtues that have remained stable across time and culture.
I honor the fact that our work is a collaborative process in that I can’t tell you what you should or should not value. I strive to continually check myself to make sure I am neither overtly nor subtly imposing my values onto you. Your values are yours and yours alone.
I also honor the fact that there are common principles that have survived across time and culture which give us clues as to how to pursue our unique values. This timeless wisdom pops up in various disciplines, such as history, philosophy, psychology, art, science religion and spirituality.
One of the reasons why I enjoy psychology so much is that I get to view each unique client within the backdrop of society at large.
